Alvaro Escalante is a founding Partner and Managing Director of Epsilon Group. Since 2006, he leads the investment banking practice and asset
management initiatives. He is based in Lima, Peru.
His day to day tasks involves identifying turnkey investment opportunities, raising capital for private placements, negotiating partnerships between venture and growth capital funds and private companies,advising senior management and boards of directors on acquisitions or strategic partnerships andstructuring deals in general. He participates actively in the M&A process from origination to closing and oversees transactions in health and fitness, agroindustry, education, real estate development, oil and gas, soft drinks, retail, amongst other sector and industries.
In regards to real estate transactions, he originated and negotiated the acquisitions of commercial real estate assets with a total retail value of over US $250 million for private and institutional investors.
Before joining Epsilon Group, he worked as Head of Investment Banking for Banbif (former Banco Interamericano de Finanzas - part of the regional network of retail banks of Spanish Grupo Fierro). He was responsible for spearheading the investment banking division strategy. Also participated actively in the process of M&A deals.
Prior to this, he worked as a senior consultant in Booz, Allen & Hamilton in Washington DC, especifically doing information technology consulting work for the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), KMPG in Peru and participated in the implementation of Convergia Networks, a regional VoIP telecommunications operator.
Alvaro holds a Bachelor and a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from American University in Washington DC and took an advanced course in Project Finance at Universidad Esan in Peru.
In his spare time, he enjoys biking, playing music, calisthenics workouts and mentoring entrepreneurs on their ventures.

Brian Hanover is Vice President of Epsilon Group and he is based in London, England.
His day to day tasks involves identifying turnkey investment opportunities, raising capital for private placements, negotiating partnerships between venture and growth capital funds and private companies, and structuring deals in general.
Previously, Mr. Hanover worked as Director of Global Equity Arbitrage at Tullett Prebon. Originally based in New York from 1994, he was responsible for the start up of trading Latam emerging market currency derivatives and interest rate products. In 1999, he moved to London to manage the Global Equity Arbitrage Group where he structured, valuated and executed more than US $50 billionworth in return swaps, synthetic forwards, futures and stock loan for equity finance transactions. Brian's keen ability to develop and maintain client relationships allowed him to remain at the forefront of the global securities finance industry.
Brian earned a bachelor´s degree in economics from American University in Washington DC. In his spare time, he enjoys biking, running, and spending quality time with his wife and 3 children.

Luciana Allemant Prado is Senior Analyst of Epsilon Group and she is based in Lima, Peru.
At Epsilon Group, Luciana participates actively on the origination of deals in the education and real estate sector, as well as, complementing our team in all technical analysis work of M&A transactions and/or private placements.
Before joining Epsilon Group, she worked for eight years between Moore Stephens and Price Waterhouse Coopers, both global consulting firms, in the areas of taxation and accounting, mainly advising clients in the practice of transfer pricing, analizing transactions from multinationals and their related companies.
Just after graduating with a bachelor´s degree in economics from Universidad Pacifico (Lima, Peru), she worked as a junior analyst in the investment banking area of Banco Interamericano de Finanzas, analyzing company´s financials and doing valuations.

Jose Ignacio is a Senior Analyst of Epsilon Group and he is based in Lima, Peru.
His day to day tasks at Epsilon involve originating and overseeing deals in various sectors and industries with a focus on beverages (i.e., soft drinks, energy drinks, spirits, liquor) and real estate. He oversees the performance reporting of all real estate projects financed by institutional funds, and on a monthly basis, meets with the compliance committees of these funds to present the reports.
Before joining Epsilon Group and earning his MBA, Jose Ignacio worked in the consumer staples and consumer discretionary industries, acting as financial analyst in Diageo for Bolivia and Ecuador, and in AB-Inbev, managing the working capital portfolio for Peru. He also worked for Citibank in Lima in the Financial Control and Compliance division doing financial and anti-money laundering analysis.
At a personal level, he has been involved in different entrepreneurial projects in consumer goods, technology and more recently in a fintechstart-up.
Jose Ignacio earned a bachelor´s degree in Business Administration from Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC) and an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Babson College in Boston
